We are the Light of the World

It’s time to let us shine!

Each of us is a spark of the Divine, a ray of light shining into the world. We are sometimes told we bring “sunshine” into our family, workplace, communities. We may be the lone candle of faith and trust in challenging situations, or the soft glow of comfort to someone in need. Our candle may shine far into the darkness and illuminate more than we know, such as when we offer simple kindness to a stranger and it becomes the best part of their day. Our light has a profound and meaningful effect in our lives and in the human collective, to extents we can not yet imagine.

When we stand together, our light illuminates more and farther. Like a multi-point candelabra compared to a single candle, our combined light is stronger and brighter and more far reaching than our individual light. Perhaps this is why community is so important to humanity. Shining our combined light will not only heal the ills and dissolve the darkness in the world, but I think it also reminds us of the incredible brightness of our original Source Light. It’s time to let us shine!
