Circle of Love
Here's an idea for an activity for any time!
Gather in a circle and play a game where each child says something they love about the person next to them. This activity encourages positive communication and appreciation among peers. Great family activity to practice on a weekly basis, too!
What a wonderful skill (and habit) to nurture, to articulate what you love and appreciate about another person. This is a life-long skill which promotes leadership in almost any endeavor of teamwork, friendships, community involvement, and let’s face it, even with household chores!
Depending upon the size of the circle, you might divide the sharing into different “rounds”, so at each turn, players focus on one aspect, such as appearance, talents, caringness/acts of kindness, etc. Of course, be sure no negativity or insults are expressed, as the goal is to focus on loving the unique beauty and character of each person.
